I've been making an effort (really, have just begun) to do Ballet Beautiful 3 times weekly as opposed to once every three months. So far, so good! It's a wonderful, peaceful workout, very much my speed. I've never been a fitness person but my body has given me pretty clear signs of desiring a good working out a few times a week. This, along with weekly hikes and daily walks has me feeling much more alert and clear since starting. Not as much a sleepy slug as I was last year! Working out is a strange thing for me because forever I erroneously equated my desire to work out with a desire to look good and in my truly foolish mind if that was the benefit I wanted none of it! I was stupidly stubborn. Working out was for cosmo readers and punk kids don't go for jogs. How ridiculously wrong I was, to make exercise an "others" thing, how embarrassing that "others" were even still dancing about in the back of my adult mind! Punk kids do go for jogs though, cos punk kids are smart and smart kids know that doing what makes you feel good is best.
Exercise is also fun because, duh, NEW OUTFITS! Samantha and I have matching hiking outfits and I recently placed an order for a proper ballet wrap sweater and some of those delicious smelling slippers from my youth.
Happy healthy glowing adventure club members!
