Very inspired by these vintage pattern illustrations. The hair, the cuts, the styling, the patterns, THE SHOES. This is pretty much exactly how I envision my personal FW12 fashions. Dreamy.

Dear Fashion, in case you were curious, this (click here for the link to above thumbnails) is what I'd like to wear. You have perhaps noticed that I don't speak often of you in your modern incarnation? It is not that I dislike your recent creations it is that, I think, they dislike me. I do not want to purchase (though sometimes need too) your manufactured in dodgy conditions with dodgy materials garb and cannot presently afford to purchase your lovingly crafted beauteous achievements (my fault for spending all surplus funds on delicious pimple inducing foods) and am therefore destined to wear other people's (grandmas) castoffs. I do not mind this, and never have (evidently as I've made a career of hunting these orphaned garments) I just wanted to make it clear that I do like you, I do. It's just, well, we've got a lot of work to do, friend.

i haven't posted a "what i'm wearing" post in quite sometime but after stumbling into a church thrift store this rainy friday afternoon and finding this romper and hat combo for six dollars i felt the need to share! i imagine it will indeed be my uniform this summer. i only need to remedy the troubling crotch area. my next quest is to find the perfect summer shoe! my job involves running all over the city, climbing ladders and (most recently) stepping on nails. i've already managed to completely destroy two pairs of shoes since being here! tell me friends, what are you wearing on your busy feet this summer? my order is: something breezy with a low heel and preferrably in brown as my paper white legs disagree with black shoe attire when naked.

wearing quiksilver's masai sleeveless dress, favourite 40's pumps and vintage beaded hat (with a hidden bow on the side). i reckon this is more suited to a chilly northwestern summer evening rather than what my summer will likely be (a humid, sticky mess) on the eastcoast. check out the other ladies summer looks!
