The Loved One

thelovedone

Hello friends, I am much recovered (though still experiencing more booger production than I care for). Thank you again for all your warm wishes of health! I've made this tumblr to fill with news about the shop so as to avoid bombarding this blog in future. I have the first collection all set to go and a second in the works (something extra special for you brides to be and white dress enthusiasts).

Alas, we are still without small furry companions. The rain has kept us and our kitty lady indoors and we've not had a chance to deliver our adoption forms as a result. By the end of this week though (brain fist shake) I better have kittens or promise of kittens!

On a final note, my partner in LA is on the look-out for an intern (unpaid at present as we're a bit unpaid as well) to help around the office. Duties include drooling (and then steaming drool) on delicious vintage attire, sewing minor repairs and lounging around the laundromat eating oreos and reading year old copies of "O" magazine. If this sounds of interest to you let me know! It would be rather informal and something to hopefully inspire you in your own creative endeavors!

  14. Firstly, that polka dot dress is out-of-hand stunning!

Secondly, as the sun is shining today, I expect you must have a kitten (or two!) to cozy up to now... if not, please please please consider going to Social Tees on E. 4th Street. It's a little storefront with lots of darling critters. The proprietor/kitten-adoption decision-maker can be a bit salty, but he's a good egg! We got our beautiful cat Oliver there, and he is the feline love of my life!

  25. So I was strolling about Elle.com ... when I looked to side bar to see you hiding inside a photo. I was like is that Hannah? It must be Hannah. The photo was a thumbnail so to get a closer look I clicked the photo. I'm all most certain that it is you, well I'm pretty sure it's you! Either it's you or I'm mistaken

  33. I actually went into Used for the first time last weekend! It's so discreet, nestled across from Urban Outfitters. I was going to mention it in my write up but I couldn't remember what it was called. D: It looked like it had great stuff but seemed to be pricier than even Retro Rock. Vintage is getting expensive everywhere these days, though. I picked through their petticoats and looked at some shoes but definitely want to go back for a finer comb through the store. I didn't even know about Front and Echo! I will make a point of finding both. Vancouver is great but I want to move east now! (Toronto? Montreal? US? Europe?)

  34. You have no idea how jealous I am of your wardrobe. Arrrrrrggghh!!

Hehe I can't wait to see your new kitty! Please post photos as soon as he/she arrives! The only thing I love more than clothes is pussy cats :)

  35. very interested in the internship if it hasn't already been filled... being surrounded by vintage beauties sounds like my dreamland.
