beets
Spent two final grueling hot days digging for shop goods last week and managed to pick up a few things for me!
Our time away from home is drawing to an end and I am most excited to get back into familiar routine. Once home I promise more substantial updates, for now I'll leave you with an excellent update from Always the Forest on cooking up your own natural blush! I gave it a shot last night and was surprisingly pleased with the results! If you have any more natural make-up secrets up your sleeve I'd love to hear them!

Thanks for the link to that blog - it's very cute and smart. I love beets, always plant lots of them, and I've often marveled at the colour. I'm glad someone did the work and found a way to use it. I think I'll stick to eating them though! I know some people don't like the taste, think they taste dirty, but it's sweet dirt - so good!

Thanks ladies!
ReplyDeleteAlison: I love beets! We eat beets almost every night when we're at home! Sweet delicious dirt.
(also love the novel colour they produces when they come out, hehe)
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'm curious to try that now! What sort of colour did it make for you? I always think of beets as being way more purple than I want my cheeks to be.
ReplyDeletelovely photos as always :)
Gorgeous photos and gorgeous finds.
ReplyDeleteI'm out to go take a look at the natural blush link you posted. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteyou're perfect, girl...
ReplyDeleteYour hair! I'm trying to grow mine long and every time I've decided that I'll just cut it off I'll look at girls with beautiful hair and get all stubborn!
ReplyDeleteMy mother told me when I was a kid that if you wanted a little colour in your cheeks you should just pinch them before leaving the house! Old-fashioned advice to stop young girls wearing make-up perhaps? heehee.
Sarah
pretty pictures as always..
ReplyDeleteloving your hair color, so glad you went that route, it suits you perfect!
what kind of foot attire did you wear on your hawaii hikes? I've been most curious about that. you don't seem like a hiking boot kind of girl.
ReplyDeletebeautiful as always; can't wait to see new things in your shop and try this recipe!
ReplyDeletep.s. (coconut oil and sea salt mixed together makes a really good body scrub)
i can't wait to see! i've made rosewater blusher/lipstain, and i love homey makeup recipes!
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is divine. There's no other word for it.
ReplyDeleteLove the flowers on her hair! :)

Kelly Irene - mmm, I love coconut oil, definitely give that one a try!
ReplyDeletefiddle leaf - haha, excellent question! in fact my dad implored me to snatch a pair of "hiking sandals" they're absolutely middle-age granola styles but they get the job done in a most excellent way! In not so hot weather a pair of vintage lace up boots do the trick!
Rebeccak - the colour was a lot more peachy than I had anticipated! It was really warm and flattering!
Sweetheart - hehe, I do that as well! pinch my cheeks and nibble on my lips!
Thank you for all your kind comments! Happy blushing!
Beautiful photos! My favorite is the first one...

ReplyDeleteHi Hannah! I'm commenting here because I've been meaning to ask/tell you for a while, but I was reminded by your tumblr but I don't think i can comment there... anyway, did you know there is a third Anne movie with Megan Follows? It is called Anne The Continuing Story. I just found it on VHS and it's really good! You have probably already seen it but if not, you definitely should!!!!
