Style inspiration from Grigory Gluckmann. Who/what is inspiring you this summer?

  1. Just found your blog and am excited to keep reading. To answer your question (and regarding art), I am and always have been really inspired by John Singer Sargent. The drama and intimacy that he brings to the canvas is so compelling. I did similar post featuring his work today...come take a peek if you get a chance.

  2. ooo lovely artwork. that first painting is incredible! the eyes are so (for lack of better word) creepy!

i've been really inspired by old hollywood starlet's (from the 1920's silent era) as of late. nell shipman, mary pickford, lillian gish... the layers and headpieces they wore! *sigh*

  6. Wee! It's a good question. Well, I am always inspired by Rene Magritte. I've been painting but haven't started to paint surreal. I'm now focusing on realism. :)

  10. So many things are inspiring me right now. All of Jean-Luc Godard's films, which I'm moving through as fast as my mailman delivers me a disc in an envelope.

Babes with big hair(Hello, you), the term mama wolf, coined by Kelly Cutrone, who is amazing, all the independent, creative women I see around Chicago with their own style.

These are my goals for summer: A summer look of dark eyebrows, bangs, peter pan collars, scalloped shorts, flared jeans, boots, rompers, swedish hasbeens and a hopefully amassed collection of wiggle dresses.

  11. The fact you take wardrobe inspiration from art makes you even more admirable :) As for myself, my choice of clothes has been heavily influenced by themes such as witchcraft and spirit guides lately!
